Explore the upgrade kits already listed by PRO4x4, compare their advertised ratings, and work out the potential change against your vehicle's factory GVM. Then speak with our team about fitment, engineering and compliance.
Packages are based on the current PRO4x4 GVM collection. Factory mass figures shown below are supplier-listed references, not a universal rating for every variant. Enter your vehicle's original factory GVM on a vehicle card to compare the gross mass ratings.
Important difference
GVM difference = proposed package GVM − your vehicle's original factory GVM. That is not automatically the same as usable extra payload: installed kit weight and as-built vehicle mass matter.
No vehicle matches that search. For a vehicle not listed, contact PRO4x4 and we can check further options.
Supplier-listed reference factory GVM: 3,280 kg. GR Sport and Sahara ZX eligibility can differ by kit.
Check the original factory GVM for your exact model and variant. If your vehicle has already been re-rated, use its current approved GVM for any legal loading checks.Use measured or carefully estimated mass including towball download.
The two EFS packages reference a 3,510 kg standard GVM. Check exact variant and build date.

A GVM upgrade increases the vehicle’s permissible gross mass only after the applicable approval and certification have been completed. The nominal difference in GVM may not match net usable payload because additional suspension, bars, trays, wheel and tyre changes affect vehicle mass. Weigh the actual fitted vehicle.
GCM, tow capacity, ball load, front and rear axle ratings, tyres and wheels must be considered separately; GVM alone does not approve a towing increase. Pre-registration SSM and post-registration state engineering are not interchangeable.
Gross Vehicle Mass is the approved maximum loaded mass of the vehicle, including passengers, accessories, fuel, cargo and attached towball download.
What is GCM?
Gross Combination Mass is the approved maximum mass of the loaded towing vehicle and trailer combined. A GVM upgrade does not automatically increase GCM or towing capacity.
What about pre-rego or post-rego?
Second Stage Manufacture generally applies before first registration. Already registered vehicles may require state-based modification approval and engineering certification. Eligibility depends on exact kit, VIN, jurisdiction, build date, tyres and other modifications.
Do the listed GVM figures apply to every trim?
No. Confirm variant, model year, cab type, original GVM and approval documentation. A supplier’s published reference GVM is not a substitute for your vehicle’s identification and approvals.

Tell us your model, year, variant, VIN or registration, state, accessories, towing setup and whether the vehicle has already been registered. We'll confirm approved fitment and quote fitting and engineering conditions.
Specifications here are drawn from currently listed PRO4x4 products and supplier material and are subject to verification for your particular vehicle. They do not themselves authorise re-rating. For South Australian requirements, see SA Government light vehicle mass re-rating guidance.

Find your GVM package
Select a supplier, vehicle and package to include it in your PRO4x4 assessment enquiry. All options are subject to availability, supplier agreements, engineering approval, exact vehicle variant, state requirements and confirmed pricing.
America's Garage
Chevrolet Silverado 1500
LTZ and ZR2 variants; registration and towing specifications differ.
Package ratings are references only. Do not use these as your vehicle's current legal GVM or GCM without verified vehicle-specific approval documents. Some supplier-listed packages are coming soon. PRO4x4 has not yet confirmed pricing or supply arrangements for these additional ranges.
Find out how much capacity your 4x4 has left once you add passengers, accessories and touring gear. Then ask PRO4x4 to review your numbers and help plan a suitable solution.
Estimate only: Verify your exact vehicle ratings, axle loads and towing limits using its documentation and calibrated weighbridge measurements. A GVM upgrade does not automatically change GCM or towing capacity.
1. Your vehicle
2. Mass ratings (kg)
Use the legal ratings for your exact vehicle, including any already-approved re-rating. Leave unknown ratings blank; do not guess.
Avoid double counting: Starting mass should represent the vehicle before the additional items below. If your weighed starting mass already includes a bullbar, canopy or fuel, do not add those items again. Kerb mass definitions and included fuel differ between manufacturers.
3. Add your load (additional kg only)
4. Towing (if applicable)
Use the actual loaded trailer mass and measured ball download, not just the trailer's maximum ratings. When coupled, the ball load counts toward vehicle GVM; the trailer axle load counts toward the combined mass separately.
Optional: check measured axle loads
Axle loads must be measured with the vehicle and trailer set up for actual travel. The calculator does not estimate front/rear axle distribution or prove tyre, wheel, hitch or towing compliance.

Understanding your vehicle's weight limits
GVM
Maximum approved loaded mass of the tow vehicle, including occupants, accessories, fuel, cargo and the supported trailer ball load.
Payload
Difference between approved GVM and the vehicle's reference mass. Added accessories use some of that allowance before you load your gear.
GCM
Maximum combined loaded mass of tow vehicle plus trailer. Do not count the towball load twice.
ATM / GTM
ATM is total loaded trailer mass. GTM is the mass carried on the trailer axles when coupled; their difference is normally the supported ball load.
Axle limits
A vehicle can be under GVM yet overload one axle. A rear canopy, long rear overhang or heavy ball weight makes a real axle weight check especially important.
Approved GVM upgrades
Eligibility depends on the vehicle, kit approval, registration stage, modification history and jurisdiction. A suspension lift alone is not a legal GVM upgrade.
For South Australian vehicles, contact PRO4x4 about pre- and post-registration processes and engineering requirements. Requirements vary by jurisdiction and vehicle. Vehicles re-rated above 4,500 kg enter the heavy-vehicle category.
