The UHF182XP can connect to two antennas and automatically select the stronger received signal. Its dual antenna system suits touring setups that need to accommodate changing terrain without operating a separate antenna switch. Radio controls and a speaker are built into the microphone.
The unit provides 5W output, 80 channels, five memory channels, scanning and a three-colour display. Microphone extension cables are included for installations with or without a pass-through connector. At least one antenna is needed and antennas are supplied separately; two suitable antennas are needed to use the dual-antenna arrangement. The transceiver measures 29 × 110 × 115mm.
